1966 Fender Stratocaster Blue Ice Metallic - Serial: 114746

In the 1966 Fender Catalog you can see a fiesta red and a sunburst strat with a bound neck, but even if those were the plans, very few of those necks made it into a Stratocaster. Infact majority of those were used for Jazzmasters in early 1966.

This outstanding example from very late 1965, early 1966 has been played and at some point the original Ice Blue Metallic finish has been colored over with a silver finish.

Our ToneTeam Luthier Romano Burini restored the finish, which was still pristine in all the cavities, neck pocket, and tremolo cavity, to its original appearance, matching the color to the one found inside the guitar.

The neck features a beautiful Brazilian Rosewood Board over a grained maple, and still has the original medium frets, bone nut and of course, binding.

All the parts, electronics, plastics, everything, are original to this guitar, and the original pickups sound amazing.

This is the opportunity to own a genuine “Bound neck” custom color stratocaster at a fraction of the price (IF you ever find one for sale)

Do you have a vintage guitar left in the dust? What are you waiting for?
