1964 Fender Stratocaster Lake Placid Blue - Serial L26545

This incredible guitar has been built at the Fender factory in late 1963, and completed in very early 1964. It was originally lake placid blue, but arrived at our Lab in a poor 80s dress, with a poly sunburst with opaque yellow.

But the guitar, which still retained all the main original parts, deserved a proper finish and our Luthiers did a fantastic job.

The Neck:
Our Master Luthier Romano Burini removed the 80s poly finish and reapplied a vintage correct exact procedure and material finish, after having refretted the instrument with the correct fret wire, and restored the fingerboard. The original neck date and matching body paint under the neck were preserved.

The Body:
This guitar has a very lightweight Alder body, and Our Master Luthier Romano Burini did the exact Lake Placid Blue colour as this guitar had back in the day, with the correct material and procedure, saving the remnants of the original finish found in the cavities.

The original pickups were still original and sounds amazing.

We’ve been very proud for this opportunity, and we are grateful to our customers for their trust.
