1958 Fender Stratocaster Blonde 30817

This incredible guitar has been built at the Fender factory in late 1958, and completed in very early 1959. It’s a rare swamp ash body, which was born Blonde, but arrived at our Lab in a poor 80s dress.

But the guitar, which still retains all the original parts, deserved a proper finish and our Luthiers did a fantastic job.

The Neck: Our Master Luthier Matteo Rufini removed the 80s poly finish and reapplied a vintage correct exact procedure and material finish, after having refretted the instrument with the correct fret wire.
The awesome finish restoration really made the beautiful subtle birdseye figure of the maple pop, and has the correct played in look and feel. The original wear marks from the front of the fretboard have been preserved.

The body:
This is probably the lightest piece of swamp ash we’ve ever seen, and it’s the most loud and resonant body I’ve ever played. Our Master Luthier Romano Burini did the exact Blonde colour as this guitar had back in the day, with the correct material and procedure.

This guitar is one of the most beautiful Fender Instrument we’ve had the privilege to work on.

We’ve been very proud for this opportunity, and we are grateful to our customers for their trust.
