This gorgeous December 1952 Fender Telecaster have been stripped and stained some on the gorgeous one piece feather weight swamp ash body, but still retained the original finish on the gorgeous flamed and birdseye maple neck.
Our luthier Matteo Rufini from the ToneTeam did a fantastic body finish restoration with the exact color match we found in some of the cavities, and refretted the neck without bothering the original finish.
The guitar still had all its original parts and thermometer case by Bulwin. The decal was missing and “fender” was pencilled onto the surface. Matteo carefully cleaned it off and a professional old silkscreen decal from Fender has been applied.
This guitar has been our inspiration and source for our 2021 “blackguard” tribute ToneTeam guitars.
