1966 Fender Stratocaster Fiesta Red - Serial: 112528

This gorgeous Stratocaster has been found from its original owner in Palermo, Sicily, and it’s a genuine example, who’s been left abandoned in a barn and it was in really in poor conditions.

Not a “mint conditions” one, but an exceptional sounding specimen with great vibe and color.

An interesting note about this one, although completed in February 1966 as the dates on the electronics confirms, the construction began in late December 1965, with the typical 3 month span that Fender was using back in the day.

This is not something that really adds up to the economic value of the instrument, but, as an historian, its really interesting to note since Fender changed the shape of the Stratocaster and the Jazzmaster to this new, “large headstock”, exactly in December 1965. It is the pivotal time for the Stratocaster, when the “small headstock” designed in 1954 has been abandoned.

This is a killer addition to any Fender collection.
