PORTFOLIO - 1960's

1965 Fender Stratocaster Daphne Blue - Serial: L69112

This amazing guitar, aside from an old professional refret and a stacked humbucker installed in the bridge position for a short time back in the '80s (that required a minimal adjustment to the bottom of the bridge pickup cavity) is a original example of one of the most seldom seen custom colors, a real "Daphne blue", which has aged beautifully, and not to be confused with the typical, darker and greener "mustang blue" used on majority of the Fender Mustangs out there.

This guitar was owned by some of the most important session musicians from the Rome scene, one of them was the Rai orchestra's official guitar player, and has been also played by the late Enrico Ciacci.

The guitar has been in the same collection since 1989, until we found a new home for it.
