1964 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst - Serial: L45980

This is a very nice guitar, built at the factory in very late 1964, and still features some typical pre CBS appointments such as a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard with “clay dots”, the “greened” headstock decals and 1964 “gray bottom” pickups. It’s been completed in early 1965 with a beautiful “3 tone” sunburst and a “white” celluloid pickguard.

The instrument is in great conditions, showing some honest play wear on the played in maple neck back and on the body edges. It’s been played for a long time with a Fender “body guard”, which in this case didn’t harm the body finish too much (typically the foam used to secure the guard to the body melted some the finish at the edges)

This is the perfect guitar for any collector or player.
