1962 Fender Stratocaster Lake Placid Blue “slab board” - Rudy Pensa Vintage Collection

This gorgeous and rare Fender Stratocaster “slab board” from early 1962 comes from Rudy Pensa’s Personal Vintage Collection, and it’s a killer sounding one.

The guitar has been painted black at some point over the factory original Lake Placid Blue finish, and then stripped to natural, leaving the original Lake Placid Blue finish present in all cavities.
It’s been professionally restored to the original color in 2022 by ToneTeam Master Luthier Romano Burini. The neck plate, the neck end, the jack cup and even the pickguard Shield all still shows clear matching original Lake Placid Blue finish over desert sand.

The guitar is the exact same model as Jimmy Page’s one.

It’s complete of all its original parts save for the tuners and the neck pickup, which is a older Fender Stratocaster model from mid 50s.
