PORTFOLIO - 1950's

1959 Fender Stratocaster Blond - Serial: 42685

This amazing guitar has had quite a life but has been well loved and played for a reason. This is a very rare guitar, from the very first batch of "slab board" rosewood fenders ever made during spring 1959 featuring the transitional and seldom seen "10 holes" 50s one ply pickguard on a very rare "blond" finished swamp ash body. It has a beautiful flamed "A" nut sized maple neck with a amazing grained Brasilian Rosewood fingerboard, plus the coolest one piece lightweight Swamp Ash body with wide grain pattern. This guitar features a fantastic period correct nitro body refinish by master luthier Davide "Utopia" Castellaro in the correct "blond" color that this guitar originally had and comes complete of all its original parts save for the pots and switch and the tuners which are original Klusons but from 1965 (double line). All the rest is there from the tremolo arm to the well worn Tweed case. This particular instrument has been professionally refretted recently and has a perfect setup. This is the perfect addition to any Fender Collection and it's a Killer sounding one as well.
