This is a rare guitar, a factory Hardtail Stratocaster made in January 1957 with a one piece swamp ash body finished in gorgeous sunburst.
By early 1956 swamp ash was abandoned and Alder became the standard wood choice for sunburst guitars, while ash was used for blonde custom colors, making this one a exceedingly rare specimen for a 1957.
